The Personal Data Protection is a partner of the 35th Economic Forum in Karpacz
The Personal Data Protection Office has become a partner of the 35th Economic Forum, which will take place on 8–10 September 2026 in Karpacz under the theme: ‘The Architecture of a New Order – Stability in Times of Change’.
This year’s event will be attended by Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), his deputy, Konrad Komornicki, and other representatives of the Personal Data Protection Office.
The Personal Data Protection Office will act as patron for a panel discussion on the importance of data and privacy protection in the face of new technological developments, entitled ‘Quantum technologies – new challenges for privacy, cybersecurity and the protection of personal data’. The discussion will be moderated by Roman Bieda, a lawyer and member of the Social Team of Expert at the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
The Economic Forum will begin on 8 September at 12:00 with a presentation of the latest report prepared by the Warsaw School of Economics in collaboration with the Economic Forum.
The publication contains ten analyses of the region’s most significant economic and social challenges.
The conference programme includes over 500 substantive events. The motto of this year’s edition sets out the Forum’s main thematic focus. Events in eight programme areas are centred around this theme:

- Security
- Society
- Sustainable Development.
Participants can also look forward to a wide range of accompanying and cultural events, including author talks, concerts and film screenings.
The Economic Forum is one of the largest and most important events in Central and Eastern Europe. For over thirty years, it has brought together representatives from the worlds of politics, business, academia and civil society, as well as individuals who influence the key directions of development in Poland, Europe and the world.
Among those who have confirmed their attendance at this year’s event are Krzysztof Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Digital Affairs; Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy; Marcin Kulasek, Minister of Science and Higher Education; Michał Kamiński Deputy Marshal of the Tenth Term Senate, and Krzysztof Bosak, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
Special guests will also include experts, academics and opinion leaders from around the world.
