Meeting between the Personal Data Protection Office and the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund
Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office, met with Tomasz Ślusarczyk, President of the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund. The presidents, together with their colleagues, met to discuss current challenges relating to the protection of personal data and the possibility of strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.
The discussions focused on day-to-day issues relating to the processing of personal data and on solutions that could support the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund staff in properly fulfilling their obligations under data protection legislation. Issues identified by the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund as particularly important for the institution’s operations were also discussed.
The meeting participants discussed the importance of appropriate procedures, the quality of IT systems and effective internal communication in ensuring a high level of data protection. The role of proper reporting and analysis of personal data breaches as a factor supporting the improvement of organisational processes and procedures was also highlighted.
During the meeting, issues relating to risk analysis and procedures to be followed in the event of inspections and personal data breaches were also discussed.
Staff training was also a key element of the discussions. The Personal Data Protection Office undertook to organise training for the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund field staff, which will support them in the day-to-day application of personal data protection regulations.
Representatives of both institutions expressed their willingness to cooperate and exchange experiences in the field of personal data protection, recognising this as an important factor in improving the quality of public administration.
