The prosecutor's office will reopen the case of generating and publishing a nude photo of a student

The prosecutor's office informed Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office, that it had reopened the case concerning the generation and publication of a nude image of a student, in which law enforcement authorities had previously refused to initiate an investigation.

The case concerns the use of artificial intelligence tools to create an intimate image of a minor and its publication on the Internet. According to Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office, the use of the young girl's image drastically violated her privacy and threatened to infringe upon her fundamental interests in the future.

The prosecutor's office took action in this case as a result of the efforts of the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, who pointed out the need for a comprehensive investigation of the circumstances of the incident and effective protection of the rights of the data subject. However, he had to ask the Prosecutor General to reconsider opening an investigation after law enforcement authorities refused to initiate proceedings in this case.
