The President of the Polish SA points to the lack of the DPA in the list of bodies and institutions
Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office sent a letter to Krzysztof Gawkowski, Minister of Digital Affairs, in which he draws attention to the content of the list of public authorities and institutions in Poland in the area of protection of fundamental rights referred to in the Artificial Intelligence Act. The President of the Polish SA's doubts are raised by the omission of the supervisory authority competent for the protection of personal data from the said list.
As Miroslaw Wróblewski notes, the need to ensure the application of EU law standards requires that the list referred to in Article 77(2) of the AI Act be supplemented and that the President of the Personal Data Protection Office be identified therein as the authority upholding the fundamental right to the protection of personal data.
