Agreement with the Polish Federation of Third Age Universities
On November 20, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, Mirosław Wróblewski, along with his associates, met with listeners of the Third Age University and members of the Silesian Council for Seniors operating under the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship. The meeting was also attended by Wiesława Borczyk, President of the Polish Federation of Third Age Universities.
During the meeting, an agreement was signed between Personal Data Protection Office and the Federation on cooperation to promote the principles of personal data protection among seniors. Ph.D. Roman Sobotka, an employee of the Department of Case Law and Legislation of the Personal Data Protection Office, gave a lecture titled "How to Take Care of Your Privacy – Tips for Seniors." After the meeting, participants had the opportunity to consult with experts about their data protection concerns.
The meeting in Katowice was part of the "Personal Data Protection Office moves into the country" program. We want to make contact with Personal Data Protection Office easier and ensure that everyone can more easily benefit from our knowledge and expertise. As part of these visits, Personal Data Protection Office also organises training for data protection officers.
Similar meetings were held earlier in the Małopolska region.
